Erimystax
cahniThe slender chub is one of the rarest fishes in eastern North America. Only a few specimens have been collected in the past 10 years. The most recent was a single specimen collected in the Clinch River in 2002 (pictured at left). Additional efforts to obtain specimens for captive propagation have so far proven unsuccessful. We will continue to search for this elusive, highly imperiled fish.
