Volunteer Appreciation Snorkel

This summer CFI is hosting our first annual Volunteer Appreciation Snorkel! We are so thankful for volunteers’ contribution to CFI and are eager to have you all together for a fun day out in the water.

Rain Dates (if it's raining the day of OR had rained hard enough the week before that the water levels are too high): Saturday August 12th and Saturday August 27th

RSVP: Please email Shannon at volunteer@conservationfisheries.org if you can attend by Monday 7/25 so we know how many to accommodate for. If you'd like, you may bring one (1) friend or partner.

Where: Meet at CFI and carpool to a local snorkel spot (exact spot TBD; 30 minutes to an hour away depending on water levels)

What to Bring: We have wetsuits, snorkels, and masks but you may bring your own. Please bring wading boots or water compatible shoes (such as Chacos or Keens), or we may have wading boots that fit you. We also have neoprene socks for wading boots. Please also plan to bring a reusable water bottle, as it will likely be quite hot. We recommend wearing your bathing suit under your clothes before arriving, and bringing a towel and dry clothes for the drive back.

Other Notes: Please plan to wear a facemask while carpooling with others to the snorkel spot. You are welcome to bring snacks, but we do not plan to stop for lunch on the way.
